The 2024–25 Volunteer Grants Program is open for expressions of interest.

Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 will be available to assist eligible not-for-profit community organisations that rely on volunteers.

Federal Member for Corangamite, Libby Coker, is encouraging local groups to apply for the grants program.

“Volunteers are the backbone of so many community organisations, and I’m proud to be part of a government that is backing them in as part of this latest round of grants,” Ms Coker said.

“We have so many amazing volunteers across the region who play such an important role in bringing our communities together, and these grants will help support them and build the capacity of our not-for-profit community organisations.”

The Volunteer Grants program aims to strengthen community organisations by increasing participation in volunteering.

Key details of the program include:

  • Grant range: $1,000 to $5,000
  • Expression of Interest deadline: Close of business, Friday, 10 January 2025
  • Eligible organisations: Not-for-profit organisations supporting volunteers.

Expressions of Interest will be reviewed by a local Community Committee, and selected organisations will be invited to apply for the grant through the Department of Social Services in February 2025.
