An Albanese Labor Government will provide $40,000 to football oval fencing for the students at Mirripoa Primary School in Mount Duneed.
The funding commitment was announced this week by Member for Corangamite, Libby Coker MP.
The funding is part of Labor’s plan to improve school facilities across the nation to help keep students and school staff safe and get kids’ education back on track after all the COVID disruptions.
Quotes attributable to Libby Coker:
“The Mirripoa Primary School, as a relatively new school, is still establishing its sporting fields and needs fencing around the school oval.
“I’m pleased to commit to contribute funding if a Labor government is elected.
“I know that Mirripoa Primary wants to ensure the oval is safe for all types of uses.
“That means having a proper fence, especially as the oval currently joins open paddocks.
“This fencing will help to ensure students can train and play safely, without losing balls into the surrounding grass areas.”
